What this site collects.
Palé Gelato Coffee & More ("Palé," "we," "us") runs this website mainly to show our menu, our hours, and how to find us. This page explains the little information the site actually collects, why, and what your choices are.
What we collect
What you tell us. If you use the group-booking form on the Visit page, we collect your name, email, and the event details you provide — phone, date and headcount are optional. We only use it to reply to your request.
What your browser sends automatically. Like any website, ours receives standard technical information — your IP address, browser type — from our hosting provider. We don't use it to identify you.
Cookies. One remembers the language you chose, so we don't ask twice. One more, which expires after about a minute, tells the site whether to show that choice at all. Neither identifies you.
Analytics, only if you agree. If you accept analytics when asked, we use Google Analytics 4 to see which pages and buttons get used, so we know what's worth improving. Decline, and no analytics script loads at all.
The map. The Visit page can show a Google map. Loading it sets Google's own cookies, so we only load it after you press "Show the map."
What we don't do
We don't sell or rent your information, and we don't run ads or ad-tracking on this site. We don't process payments or store card numbers — all online ordering happens through DoorDash, whose own privacy policy applies once you leave our site to order. We don't add form submissions to a mailing list.
How we use it
- Reply to a group-booking request
- Understand, only with your consent, which pages and features people actually use
- Keep the site secure and working correctly
Who we share it with
We use a small number of service providers to run the site and reply to messages — our hosting provider, and, only with your consent, Google Analytics. We don't sell your information or share it with anyone for their own marketing. When you order through DoorDash, your order and payment details are handled entirely by DoorDash under its own privacy policy — we never see or store them.
How long we keep it
Group-booking messages are kept only as long as it takes to plan your event, then deleted. Analytics data, when you've allowed it, follows Google's standard retention settings.
Your choices
Wherever you are — California resident or not — you can:
- Decline analytics, or change your mind later
- Ask us to delete a group-booking submission
Message us on Instagram or through the booking form and we'll take care of it.
Children's privacy
This site isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Changes to this policy
If what the site collects changes, we'll update this page and the date below.
